Adidas Originals Superstar

The Adidas Superstar was the first shoe I remember being excited about as a kid in the 90’s. 2020 marked the 50th anniversary of the shoe and we wanted to help Adidas put the Superstar back into the cultural conversation. But the Superstar is more than just a shoe: it’s the people who wear it. When The Stars Went Out would be a future-forward platform profiling the Gen-Z “Superstars” who are fighting for a better future today. It would take the perspective of 2070, the Adidas Superstar’s 100th anniversary, and look back to 2020 and talk to the people making sure that future arrives, at the places that would be most affected by climate change in 2070. For this pitch, I was responsible for the concept and creative development, all copywriting, and art direction.
