Poetry in Motion

When I first started working on the pitch for Poetry in Motion, I challenged myself to rethink “city tour” content. We’ve seen Los Angeles and Philadelphia and all they have to offer in videos from just about every publisher and travel YouTuber on the internet. Is there even an “off-the-beaten-path” path left to walk on anymore? Poetry in Motion is a unique concept I pitched to Getaround, a car-sharing service, that follows poets exploring their city to find inspiration for their work. A moving collage of faces, scenes, and smells, we filmed their journey and set it to the poems they wrote. For this project, I developed the concept and oversaw casting, all pre-production, on-set directing, and creative direction for the edit.
